Chrissy Teigen reveals that the loss of late son Jack was the result of a life-saving abortion

Chrissy Teigen revealed that the death of her late son Jack in September 2020 was the result of a life-saving abortion, not a miscarriage as she originally stated.

John Legend’s wife, 36, explained that she made the “difficult decision” to end her pregnancy at 20 weeks after coming to terms with the fact that she and Jack are likely alive.

Let’s call it what it was: It was an abortion. A life-saving abortion of a child who had absolutely no chance. And to be honest, I didn’t really put that together until, in fact, a few months ago,” Chrissie admitted, according to THR.

The couple had previously said Jack died as a result of complications from placental abruption, which is when the placenta separates from the uterus depriving the baby of oxygen and causing severe bleeding in the mother.

Chrissy admitted that it came as a “shock” to her.

I fell silent, feeling weird because I didn’t understand it that way. I told the world we had a miscarriage, the world agreed we had a miscarriage, and all the headlines said it was a miscarriage.

“I was really frustrated that I didn’t say, in the first place, what it was, and it just felt silly because it took me over a year to realize the fact that we had an abortion,” she admitted.
