How does Erling Haaland’s goals compare to this century’s Premier League Golden Boot winners?

Having played less than a fifth of the season, Erling Haaland is already at least halfway to matching four previous Premier League Golden Boot winners.

Erling Haaland scored his eleventh goal in the English Premier League this season as Manchester City beat Wolverhampton in Molino Saturday lunch time.

Barring injury or disaster, the Norwegian assassin looks to knit the golden boot. He’s scored in all but one of the league’s games this season (Bournemouth kept him off the field), including hat-tricks against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest and a double against West Ham.

Haaland currently scores a goal every 52 minutes. If he were to play every minute for the rest of the season – which he clearly won’t – and maintain his current rate – which he might – he would finish the season with 64 Premier League goals.

Having played just seven games, just 18 percent of the season, he’s at least halfway to matching four Golden Boot winners of the century. Here’s how his 11 goals so far compare to the total of all scorers in the Premier League since 2000.
