I’m an ambassador for Porsche, but I’ll never get rid of my £5,000 Dacia Sandero, says tennis player Emma Raducano

I would like to be the Head of Marketing at Dacia now.

Because when he reads this, he will be able to put his feet up and relax for the next 12 months.

We see brands like Mercedes and Land Rover spending a fortune searching for free cars for “celebrity brand ambassadors”.

But Emma Radukanothe UK’s hottest ticket at the moment, you didn’t need a penny to promote the budget brand Dacia.

I had a sit-down conversation with Raducanu – arranged by Porsche – and she was adamant that she would never sell her first car, which is £5,000 Sandero.

For those of you who don’t know or have forgotten, Dacia is a Romanian brand owned by Renault and the Sandero was once Britain’s cheapest new car.

Raducanu said: “My dad is Roman and his Dacia was his first car. Well, I have a white Dacia Sandero.

“Like taking off in a UFO”

“It was funny, I passed the test three days before the first closing and we kind of knew it was going to close, so we needed to buy a car ASAP. I bought it used for £5,000. I’m taking care of it. I’ll never get rid of it.”

good decision.

Raducanu has gained a lot since its amazing debuts like Vodafone, HSBC, Evian, Dior and more The victory of the US Open in 2021.

But the Porsche should be the best deal of the bunch, especially for the young gasoline owner who tried karting and motocross as a kid.

Her dream engine is a 918 Spyder “but there’s no way they’d let me get close to it.”

So it is possible to go Raducanu 911 or taycan?

She said, “That’s 911. I’m there. It doesn’t matter.

“I definitely respect electric cars better after driving the Taycan.

“The acceleration is so smooth, it’s like you’re taking off in a UFO. And obviously it’s great for the planet. But to me, nothing really can beat the organic smell and sound of a car.”

Like the classic 911 I tried at Silverstone recently. “It was really amazing,” Raducanu said. “It was shooting day and I was thinking, ‘I really want to drive it,’ and at the end of the day they let me go.”

“Starting with the automatic 911 I was driving, the modern, and then going into the ’60s manual, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to forget how to manually drive.'” I didn’t want to scratch it.

“The gears were in completely different places, the clutch was like, you know, just to find the biting point, so it took some tweaking. But it was a really fun experience.

“Just staying on track and experiencing that speed and adrenaline is something I really love.

“It’s similar to what I do in a way. You get the same adrenaline, and nerves.

“But the difference is that you get it a little bit wrong when you’re racing and you could end up in the wall. Whereas in tennis, you get it wrong a little bit, what’s worse? You lose a match.”

Raducanu also loves Formula 1 but refused to say who she thinks is the best driver.

She said, “If I say that, it will go everywhere, so I’m not saying!”

fair enough. But she will always love Sandero.
