Love Island’s Katie Salmon has revealed her battle with postpartum depression.

In a new interview, the reality star, 26, said she has been struggling in the final months after giving birth to her daughter Tyga, six months.

Katie, who has also denied allegations that she has permanently separated from her fiancé Harry, also revealed that besides her struggles, her daughter was recently diagnosed with a hemangioma.

Katie said the sun Friday: “The truth is, I was dealing with severe postpartum blues and I can’t help but say that being a mother was one of the toughest challenges I’ve faced in my life.”

Katie said her mental health has suffered badly in recent months, and she suffers from “anxiety” about leaving the house.

Speaking about her daughter’s tumor, Katie said it has grown to the size of a “fist”, but she is receiving medical treatment and will likely be gone by her first birthday.

She had grown exceptionally from the time she was three weeks old to the size of a fist on the side of her face. “It was affecting her eyesight because she couldn’t see out of one eye,” Katie said.

She also revealed that she and Harry are still together, but are taking a small break to focus on their mental health.

“Our relationship isn’t perfect but please be nice just because we’ve been through a lot,” Katie added.

She then went on to praise her fiancé and said that as a family they would ‘succeed’, with the couple determined to put their daughter first.

Reports surfaced earlier this week that Katie and fiancé Harry broke up just six months after giving birth to their first child.

The Love Island star – who rose to fame during the show’s second season in 2016 and made history as the first half of the same-sex couple on the show with the late Sophie Gradon – shocked her Instagram followers by deleting all of Harry’s photos.

The new mom then took to her social media to announce that she was “earning a lot less” than she’s worth.

Katie, who got engaged to Harry last December, has deleted footage from the couple’s gender reveal party before the birth of their daughter Tyga, as well as a big homage to her ex-boyfriend on his birthday.

Turning to her Instagram stories, she wrote vaguely: “Everything has changed for me since I gave birth to my little girl. It was one of the hardest trips.

Little did I know I had the chance to show off everything I had this year. The woman is a superhero, Edghav [I don’t give a f***] And the reward is her precious smile and health.

She continued in the lengthy post: “I settled for way less than I deserve from a lot of people because I didn’t really respect who I was or what my value was.

‘My loyalty, love and energy are unparalleled. The change was intense but eye-opening. I had to mourn someone I once had and let the new me in.”

If you can’t respect my evolution, you don’t deserve to be at our table. The changes coming to me are exciting, so if you’re struggling you know they are as painful as they are, they are really here to help you evolve” [sic].

She later posted: “I love seeing people recover from messy situations and end up getting the success, love, and bliss they deserve.”

Katie previously shared a slew of snaps on Instagram announcing the birth of her daughter, including one of her little girl and photos from the birth, in which she wore her tiger striped nails in honor of her unique baby name.

Commenting on the touching photos, she wrote that she was stuck in her baby bubble but decided to announce the news on Mother’s Day.

Katie penned it: ‘I’m officially a mummy!!!! I spent some time in my baby bubble but figured today would be the best day to let all of you know.

We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into this magical world. Taiga Dean (pronounced tiger).

I never thought I could feel this way, I’m totally in love and I thought I had everything in life until it came. My life is complete.’

She also thanked NHS staff for their help, and thanked Harry for being a “rocker” and her friends and family for their support along the way.
