Lucy Mecklenburg revealed that her son Roman, 2, is in hospital battling a virus

Lucy Mecklenburg takes her 2-year-old son Roman to the hospital battling a virus – nearly a year to the day it was discovered ‘blue in his bed’

Lucy Mecklenburg has been updating fans about her son Roman’s health, revealing that he has been battling a virus – nearly a year until the day he was discovered ‘blue in his bed’.

The reality star previously told how her young child spent a week in intensive care last September and was put on a ventilator, calling it “parents’ worst nightmare.”

The 31-year-old favorite TV actress, who shares her son with former Korean actor Ryan Thomas, revealed on Sunday that Roman was back in hospital but reassured fans that the two-year-old was on the mend and just needed “some help” to battle the disease.

The mother of two took Roman for urgent medical treatment again after contracting the infection in foster care.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the former TOWIE star shared a photo of a toddler in a hospital ward with cabin curtains clogged.

I wondered about the snap photo: “You’re supposed to be on the beach. Why did you send Roman to daycare this week?

She then went on to reassure fans that Roman was on the mend, explaining: “He’s fine, he sometimes needs some help fighting viruses. Nebulizers, oxygen, steroids and antibiotics. Bless him, I wish I had kept him out of preschool and made him in the sun sooner.

Last year, Roman spent nearly a week in intensive care and was diagnosed with “viral wheezing.”

Lucy wrote at the time: “Some of you may have noticed that we haven’t been browsing social media lately. A little over a week ago, I found a Roman blue in his crib—probably every parent’s worst nightmare.

Without going into too much detail, Roman ended up being taken to intensive care at St Mary’s, London and put on a ventilator. Fortunately, we are all at home now and Roman is back to his rude nature.

Lucy said the experience made her want to get involved with sick children’s charities and the hospital where Roman was taken.

Lucy is also mother to three-month-old daughter Lila, who suffered a health scare of her own last month when she was taken to hospital and given oxygen after she developed bronchiolitis “really bad.”

Lila contracted bronchiolitis from Roman, who picked up the condition as a preschooler, and suffered from ‘coughing and choking’ before being taken to hospital.

The health update comes after the fitness expert candidly revealed the facts about her post-pregnancy body in a Q&A with her Instagram followers earlier this month, saying that she struggles to find time to exercise just like most other people.

The TV star revealed that she’s worn two sizes of her dress and that her busy life rarely leaves time for exercise — although it has made her come to terms with it.

While chatting, a follower asked, “Are you back to your pre-pregnancy weight? Do you exercise? Diet? I don’t like me anymore.”

Lucy agreed to write, “I understand, so many changes in our bodies so quickly make me feel like I’m so unfamiliar with my body sometimes.”

“I have wider thighs, a bigger belly, and a bigger breast, and two dress sizes are larger than what I had before the night.”

She continued, ‘I’m close to one stone heavier than before, but I try not to weigh myself too much. I rarely have time to exercise but I love Pilates after giving birth. I try to walk a few times a week and run after a toddler all day lol.

“Diet-wise I’ve started trying to eat the way I am used to as much as possible primarily for energy and to feel satisfied.”

She concluded by saying: “Cooking pigeons helps and makes simple and quick meals that everyone in the house will eat. I don’t follow a restrictive diet just balance and variety’.
