One of the iPhone’s best features is MOVED – and Apple fans are pretty confused

APPLE has quietly passed on one of the most useful iPhone tricks: hiding photos.

The latest iOS update completely changed the location of the feature — leaving iPhone users in a state of confusion.

Your iPhone has had the ability to hide photos for years.

When you do this, the image is placed in a special folder called Hidden.

Maybe you want to hide birthday gift ideas, special pictures of your kids, or weight loss pictures – it’s easy to do.

First, go to Photos and select all the photos you want to hide.

Now you will need to tap on the three dots in the bottom right corner and then choose Hide.

Previously this feature was hidden inside the share menu, which didn’t really make sense.

But it’s in a more logical place after the latest iOS 16 Modernization.

Unsurprisingly, the move has left some users confused – a number of users have flocked to Twitter to ask where the hide button is now.

Someone wrote: “How to hide photos in iOS 16 omg.”

Another said: “IOS 16 porting the image masking function could take years in some people’s lives.”

And one added: “Thank God Apple finally changed where you hide your photos in iOS 16.

“Because the reason we had to hit the share button and then very carefully press the ‘hide’ button instead of the submit button was random.”

Better Hide

Of course, you can get smarter when it comes to hiding photos.

The new iOS 16 update also made it possible to lock the hidden photo album behind you Face ID.

To turn this on, go to Settings > Photos and then switch to Use Face ID.

You can also choose to turn off showing hidden album, which will hide the album from your Photos app completely.

This makes it difficult to quickly view your hidden iPhone photos, but it’s a good way to keep the folder private.

If you don’t see these new features, check to make sure you have updated to iOS 16.

To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
