Known as Fergie to many, the Duchess of York has remained close to the royal family since her “friendly” separation from her ex-husband in 1992. While the Duke of York was recently stripped of his military engagements and royal patronage, Sarah Ferguson has retained her Duchess status and has continued to be involved with other family members including Including her two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The proud mother of two was recently revealed for her investment in the husband’s £5m Mayfair estate – not far from her home at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
Where does Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York live?
The 62-year-old has enjoyed a busy career as an author and TV personality, but Fergie is best known for her marriage to Queen Elizabeth II’s third child.
After making their vows public in 1986, Fergie and Andrew moved into their first marital home at Ascot in Sunninghill Park.
Worth £15 million when sold in 2016, the property was gifted to the husband and built to order in 1987.

In 2002, Prince Andrew inherited the Royal Lodge after the death of the Queen Mother and moved his family to the 30-bedroom hotel soon after.
Despite their divorce in 1996, the Duke and Duchess of York continued to live in the family home, where they remain to this day.
During an interview in 2015, Fergie said, “Andrew and I, we’re the happiest divorced couple in the world—exceptional, really, aren’t we?
“We live in the same house, but then, it’s a big house, so that’s okay.
“But I think it’s really good that we believe in compromise, communication, compassion. And family.”

With so much space in the £30m mansion, dogs will likely have their own rooms to enjoy while not running around the 21 acres of private gardens that surround the house.
As expected, every inch of the royal residence is a sight to behold – from the grand exterior to the intricate interior detailing.
Where is Royal Lodge located?
The former home of the Queen Mother is a Grade II listed building in Windsor Great Park, just five miles from Windsor Castle.
Nearby are the new Prince and Princess of Wales, William, and Kate, who have recently moved to Windsor Castle with their three children.
While the property is one of several known properties now owned by the king, it was not used for the royal family until the 1930s.
Before that, it was used as a residence for several officers of the royal family.
The lavish country resort has about 30 rooms in the main building, including seven bedrooms and a salon.
Inside, the couple enjoys their own space in separate parts of the royal estate.
While the inn is not open to the public, fans have seen a glimpse of the home through Sarah’s Instagram and YouTube channels.
The Duchess was spotted in a family-looking dining area filled with roses, a cozy rug and streamlined white curtains.
Elsewhere in the Royal Lodge, tall windows are adorned with long curtains, and gold detailing can be seen throughout.
The family-oriented couple also keeps plenty of photos around the house.
A mixture of green and cream walls line the length of the spacious rooms, which overlook the evergreen gardens that surround the palace.
Andrew is believed to have invested millions of pounds of his own money in renovation costs on the Windsor home, with neither he nor Fergie showing any interest in moving out.
