I’m looking forward to AirPods Pro 2As someone who’s used AirPods Pro as everyday driver earbuds for a few years, despite the emergence of many more advanced and impressive competitors (I wrote a little bit about why here).
I don’t mind at all that the material design hasn’t changed – I wasn’t desperate for a design that didn’t stick to it or anything else. I really like the zipped controls in AirPods Pro (2019), because it is basically impossible to accidentally operate it, working with or without gloves. Without the stems, you lose those controls, so I have absolutely no beef with the new AirPods Pro looking exactly the same as before.
But after six years of all-white Apple earbuds… can’t we have some color options other than white? I know it’s a really basic opinion and complaint to make about them, but a) I still have; and b) it looks like it would also be pretty basic to fix.
You know, I might not think much about this, if Apple wasn’t too happy to offer other products in a range of great colors. AirPods Max They are the most important thing to mention, as they are part of the same AirPods Pro line, and come in five gorgeous multicolored color options. I have green, and I love them.
But then there Beats Fit ProMade by Apple, which is not only available in four regular tones, but is now also available Three more finishes to mimic skin tone thanks to a collaboration with Kim Kardashian. (For those interested, I would like to point out here for the record that Beats was indeed The punch to skin tone is beaten out by the much cheaper JLab range.)
Finally, don’t forget Apple Watch. They aren’t headphones, but they are one of the clearest signs that Apple knows that people love accessories that come in personalized colors! You can get the Apple Watch in three different materials, in multiple colors/tones for each material…and you can customize even more with different designs and colors of the straps, which are constantly being rotated for new seasons. the new Apple Watch SE 2 You just got a brand new red tone for the latest version!
But AirPods Pro 2 just come in glossy white. Well, you might say that the Apple earbuds are white. It’s always been white, and it’s an iconic look since the iPod days. Being white prominent is a free advertisement for Apple.
But that hasn’t stopped Apple from changing the aluminum silver that was once in its laptops to introduce other tones. the new MacBook Air M2 Comes in four different colors!
My best hope is to get some funky AirPods in my ear (apart from using a company like coloring (Opens in a new tab) It does its own job of adding color options to so many products, including AirPods) that Apple may add colors to its AirPods lineup a year or so after its launch. This happened with HomePod MiniSo there is always a chance. In the meantime, it will be all white for the night for the AirPods Pro launch on Friday, September 23rd — and here you can find it Best AirPods Pro 2 for pre-order and options.
